"To write, to translate" - Mircea Cărtărescu and Bruno Mazzoni, at UVT

You are invited to a fascinating evening, dedicated to the passion for literature and translation, in the company of two extraordinary people: Mircea Cărtărescu and Bruno Mazzoni!

Mircea Cărtărescu, one of the most acclaimed contemporary writers, will share with us his thoughts and experiences related to the process of literary creation. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about his sources of inspiration and the techniques he uses to create remarkable works.

Together with Mircea Cărtărescu, we have the honor of hosting Bruno Mazzoni, a talented translator and literary interpreter, who will reveal the secrets of the art of faithfully rendering the essence of an author's work in another language. We will discover how translation can be an art form in itself and how it can help us to understand and appreciate books and authors from other cultures more deeply.

The moderator of the evening, Mircea Mihăieș, will guide us through this fascinating journey into the world of literature and translation, asking relevant questions and facilitating the dialogue between the guests and the audience.

We look forward to seeing you on May 31, at 18:00, in the Aula Magna of the Western University of Timișoara, for a memorable evening with Mircea Cărtărescu and Bruno Mazzoni!
