The Western University of Timișoara intends that in the next academic year, 2021-2022, it will fully resume activities with students in the university premises, at all levels of studies, for theoretical and practical teaching activities, as well as for alternative events and all other programs carried out in UVT premises.

UVT decided to prepare the organization of all didactic activities related to the 2021-2022 academic year with physical presence, in the institution's educational spaces. In the situation where the legislation in force at the time will require another way of carrying out the educational process, the decision will be adapted accordingly.

The West University of Timișoara is one of the first university communities in Romania to promote the message of encouraging anti-Covid-19 vaccination, since January, when the actions of the Ministry of Health for large-scale vaccination began. Moreover, our community stood out for the very high share of vaccinated staff, now with a share of over 75%. In this context, given the imperative to protect the health of academics and researchers, students and their families, we consider it essential to continue promoting the pro-vaccination message during the summer as well, until the start of the new academic year, so that the percentage of students and of their vaccinated academic staff should be as high as possible, so as to almost completely eliminate the risk of transmission of the new coronavirus.
