Miltos Yerolemou is not only the famous actor who plays the role of Syrio Forel in the series "Game of Thrones", but also an artist with rich experience in theater and directing. Born in London, with parents of Cypriot origin, Miltos Yerolemou played roles on the British stage in plays such as "King Lear", "Cyrano", "Great Expectations", "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's" Nest", "Twelfth Night", "Othello", "Beauty and the Beast", "Romeo and Juliet". In cinematography, he stood out for his roles in well-known productions: "Becoming Elizabeth", "The Crown", "Game of Thrones", "Murder on the Orient Express", "The Danish Girl", "Star Wars: The Force Awakens".
The actor will dialogue with the public in the virtual auditorium of the Western University in Timișoara, on 11.03.2021, as part of a new project that comes to complete the already well-known series of conferences "At UVT, Culture is Capital!".
Initiated by lect. university Dr. Eliza Claudia Filimon and associate professor Dr. Luminița Frențiu, teaching staff in the English Language and Literature College, the project "UVT in dialogue with the world of film" is meant to facilitate intercultural dialogue with famous representatives of the seventh art.
Drawing on his vast experience in acting and directing, with reference to his roles in theatre, Miltos Yerolemou will deliver the lecture "The Art of Adaptation – From Page to Stage to Screen", where he will explore the challenges involved in text adaptation written for theatrical and film performance.
