"Entrepreneur: EU funding opportunities for sustainable development"

The academic community of the Western University of Timișoara (UVT), following a fully assumed development direction, prioritizes entrepreneurship, competitiveness and innovative development, characteristics of the training offered to students and graduates from this community.

One of the priority topics for students and graduates, which is at the forefront of UVT's concerns and advanced study programs, is the one that proposes information and analysis of financing programs with European funds, an area of economic life currently considered strategic for the future of Romania. In line with these concerns, UVT proposes to the Timisoara community, but also to the academics, researchers, students and graduates here, a special conference, dedicated to EU funding opportunities for sustainable development, an extensive debate, with outstanding participation.

The conference "Entrepreneur: EU funding opportunities for sustainable development" is organized by UVT in partnership with CONAF, national representative organization for the female entrepreneurial environment.

There are university guests, lecturers and moderators with experience in entrepreneurship and European financing: the rector of UVT, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea, the Minister of Investments and European Projects, Ioan Boloș, the President of CONAF, Cristina Chiriac, as well as other special guests.

Speakers and moderators of the conference will propose topics for debate related to:

• Deficient absorption and reliability solutions;

• The specifics of the new cohesion policy, which assumes a more personalized approach to regional development, when the completion of the strategic framework at the national level is expected;

• What are the framework documents that underline the objectives and priorities at the national level, essential issues for future projects, because without these documents the funding requests run the risk of remaining exactly without the necessary relevance?

• The partnership agreement with Romania for the period 2021-2027, which is still in the draft stage;

• the features of the new framework, which, according to the EC, offers less red tape and simpler ways to request payments (especially for businesses and entrepreneurs benefiting from EU support). How will this objective be achieved at the level of Romania? What instruments/ways to simplify the attraction of European funds and respectively the implementation of projects are proposed or targeted?

• Last but not least, the forms of elimination of cross-border obstacles are of interest.
