Along with the entire community, a new academic year started at UVT. Teaching staff, parents, representatives of local authorities and business partners joined us at the opening celebration of the academic year 2021-2022, an event that did not lack official speeches, emotional moments and artistic moments.
During Monday, September 27, Opening celebration of the academic year 2021-2022 took place on the stage located outside, near the UVT main office (V. Pârvan no. 4, the main parking lot), which can also be watched live on the UVT Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/uvtromania).
The rector of UVT, university professor Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "The celebration occasioned by the Opening of the academic year at the Western University of Timișoara was an event where we were joined by famous personalities of the academic and Timișoara community, representatives of UVT's main strategic partners, from the business environment and from public institutions. At this moment of starting the first semester of the new academic year, we met many of the talented young Olympians, whom we invited for a well-deserved festive premiere. Our dialogue was accompanied by the well-known chords of the Gaudeamus hymn, but also by a presentation film of the Timisoara university center (https://bit.ly/3urc29x), a UVT production through which we want to show the young "freshmen" from the first year, but not only them, what beautiful surprises await them in Timișoara and in our university, which will be their second home from now on".
Because "At UVT, Culture is the Capital!", the second top event of September 27 included the awarding of the winners Spanish Poetry Translation Contest, which was attended by HE, Mr. Manuel Larrotcha Parada, the Spanish Ambassador in Bucharest, diplomatic representatives of the Spanish-speaking European partner countries, but also representatives of the UVT management and the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology from UVT. The program of this awarding moment started at 11.15:01 a.m., in the AXNUMX amphitheater (with the observance of protective measures).
