Samsung Smart Classroom Center at UVT – a new initiative to promote digital education

Uthe Western University of Timișoara and Samsung Electronics Romania opened the new center Samsung Smart Classroom, part of the program SEED – Samsung Ecosystem for Education Development, an educational initiative created and implemented by the Samsung Electronics company in Romania, through which it aims to actively contribute to the promotion of digital education in Romania.

During the launch event, details were presented on how the SEED project aims to make teaching practice easier and more efficient, while increasing the level of motivation and engagement of students and learners. Through the SEED program - Samsung Ecosystem for Education Development, the company Samsung Electronics Romania has proposed to actively contribute to local development, given that education generates development and contributes significantly to the practice of new education methods - blended learning, learning flipped learning and personalized learning. Thus, these new methods can increase the students' involvement in the act of learning and can increase their motivation for learning.

The program provides teachers and students with a "Classroom of the Future" infrastructure as well as the working tools they need, including distance learning. One of the important objectives that the project proposes is the implementation and development of an urban-rural hub model in education, so that teachers and students who do not have constant access to quality education have the chance to develop in the same pace as other students and gain access to modern learning resources and techniques.
