In the 2021 competitive season, the cyclists of the velo-team "UVT-Devron West Cycling Team” got us used to achieving very good performances at domestic and international competitions.

Recently, for the National Road Championships of Romania and the Republic of Moldova, two foreign athletes were co-opted into the team, succeeding in obtaining 12 medals, including 3 titles of National Champion of Romania, 2 titles of National Champion of Moldova, 2 national runner-up titles and 5 bronze medals.

The protagonists of the National Champion t-shirt for the long-distance and individual time trials are:

· Georgeta Ungureanu (Elite female) - long distance,

· Mădălin Gaiță (Master) – fund,

· Andrei Ionuț (U23) – long distance;

· Andrei Sobennicov (Elite male), Republic of Moldova – long distance;

· Arman Garibean (U23), Republic of Moldova – individual counter-time;

The titles of National Vice-Champions are held by Arman Garibean (U23) – long-distance event and Madalin Gaita (Master) – time trial.

The bronze medals are held by: Georgeta Ungureanu (Elite F) – Individual Time Trial, Cojanu Andrei (U23) – Individual Time Trial, Alin Toader (Junior) – Long Distance.

The team's results could not have been so beautiful without the work of teammates Mihai Băbăiță (Elite), Văidian Iustin (U23), Emil Chepean (Elite M), Ștefan Drăgoiu (Junior), David Urs (U23), and, last but not least , of coach Alexandru Drilea Apetrea, sports director Ovidiu Burghelea, specialists from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Mirică Nicoleta, Tiberiu Puta, Cristian Negrea, but also of mechanic Radu Hăulică, masseuse Camelia Chepetan, representatives of the sponsor, DEVRON Romania, Proaction and to all those who believe in cycling performance and competition.

The UVT-Devron West Cycling Team, represented by Iustin Văidian, mobilized all its energy to participate, together with the Romanian national team, in the 54th edition of the Romanian Cycling Tour, whose Prologue race started on Tuesday, August 31, with the start in Timișoara, right in front of the West University of Timișoara (https://www.turulromaniei.ro/etape2021/prolog/).
