International colloquium "Communication and culture in European Romania", anniversary edition

Organized by the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, in partnership with the West University Foundation in Timișoara, but also with diplomatic and cultural bodies, the International Colloquium Communication and culture in European Romania (CICCRE), in its XNUMXth anniversary edition, is this time dedicated to a corollary theme, Identity – Diversityciccre.uvt.ro.

Held in online format, this year it also enjoyed the enrollment of approximately 140 teaching staff and researchers from the broad field of Romanistics and Romani culture (language, literature, translation studies, history, music, theater, arts, Romani civilization, cultural studies, librarianship), from countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Brazil, Poland, Morocco, Hungary, USA, Armenia, etc.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BI_VIakVbR8.

On this occasion, according to tradition, the volume of the previous edition will be launched, Quaestiones Romanicae (IX. Memory – Forgetting), which reached over 1300 pages distributed in 3 volumes: https://ciccre.uvt.ro/ro/qvaestiones-romanicae/quaestiones-romanicae-ix. From this issue, the documents of the colloquium appear at home, at the Publishing House of the Western University in Timișoara.

Motto of the colloquium: Pontem Romanitatis servemus "Let's guard/defend the unity/bridge of Romanity" proves its concreteness with each edition. With the involvement of the West University of Timișoara in building the European university alliance UNITA – Universitas Montium together with five other European universities from Romanian countries, initially, eleven currently, the purpose of the colloquium is taken to a higher level.
