The Faculty of Law of the Western University of Timișoara and New Europe College organize the International Conference Core, Peripheral, and Supranational Correlates of the Rule of Law: Emerging Synergies and Tensions. The conference is part of the research project with the title Rule of Law at the European Periphery: (Dis)incentive Structures and Conceptual Shifts (ROLPERIPHERAL), funded by UEFISCDI – Exploratory Research (PN-III-P4-PCE-2021-0319) together with New Europe College and coordinated by Professor Bogdan Iancu, from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Bucharest.
The event, which will take place in Timișoara on September 29-30, 2023, brings together important names from universities and research institutes in Romania and abroad, who aim to discuss how the center / periphery dichotomy is relevant for the European construction and its expansion, with particular attention to the role that rule of law it plays in the center-periphery interaction.

The event will take place, in its first part (Friday, September 29, 2023), at the Mansarda Gallery within the Faculty of Arts and Design of the Western University of Timișoara (Str. Oituz no. 4), and the second part ( Saturday, September 30, 2023) will take place in the headquarters of the Western University of Timișoara (Amphitheater A01, Bd. Vasile Pârvan no. 4).
