FAD designers present their collections at Transilvania Fashion Festival

The creations of the students and master's students of the Faculty of Arts and Design/Fashion-Clothing Design specialization will be presented on the weekend of September 17-19 in Cluj-Napoca, as part of the Transilvania Fashion Festival 2021.

Organized under the auspices of the European Fashion Council and FashionTV, the festival is part of a cycle of Galas dedicated to the presentation and awarding of excellence in the field of fashion, which have been organized for over 25 years and was designed to contribute to amplifying the visibility of the creativity of the designers presented, on the vast stage European, through the combined contribution of the local media and partners. 

Imagined in the form of a complex outdoor event, street fashion in an unexpected vision, couture in an innovative formula, amplified by the presence of a photo/video studio - universal communication vector, the concept proposes an approach to several valences of an established formula and will create an emulation on all levels of fashion and styling expression in this field.

FAD students and master's students will present their collections in four shows, on Esplanade of the Urban Culture Center from central Park from Cluj-Napoca, which will be transformed thanks to an impressive logistics of catwalk, light and LED screens, into a superb outdoor amphitheater, guarded by the imposing building of casino and history Fountain.  

Numerous designers, brands and fashion houses, special guests from the country and abroad, models, hairstylists, make-up artists, photographers, bloggers and media partners have announced their participation at the Festival.

The designers who will represent UVT are: Gabriela Baboș (undergraduate project, university lecturer coordinator Dr. Sandra Suciu), Teodora Dolga (undergraduate project, university associate coordinator Dr. Andreea Palade Flondor), Octavian Grancea (undergraduate project , university lect. coordinator Dr. Sandra Suciu), Valentina Cerbe (undergraduate project, university lect. coordinator Dr. Sandra Suciu), Ana Maria Căpraru (undergraduate project, university lect. coordinator Dr. Cristina Lazăr), Sorina Chira (Bachelor's project, university lect. coordinator Dr. Cristina Lazăr), Marina Bolgar (Bachelor's project, university lect. coordinator Dr. Cristina Lazăr), Iosefina Cassonato (dissertation project, university lect. coordinator Dr. Sandra Suciu), Andreea Ungureanu (dissertation project, coordinator univ. dr. Andreea Palade Flondor). In the Established Designers category, Ionuț Piscureanu ("Red Words" collection, dissertation project coordinated by Prof. Andreea Palade Flondor, Ph.D.), Cristina Lazăr ("Again" RTW 2021 collection) and Sandra Chira ("ZIDIT"/ /RTW 2022).

The first two days of the Festival will have a similar format, being structured in two main modules (the presentation of the collections of young designers trained in the Universities of Art and Design and the presentation of the collections of internationally established designers), while Sunday, September 19, there will be only one module, being a day dedicated to the presentation of collections for children.

Saturday evening, after the fashion shows will take place Laureates Gala, during which the Awards, Medals and Trophies of the Gala will be awarded, including the coveted "Moda cum Laude" Trophy.
