With the full return to activity, on the morning of Monday, September 6, 2021, the West University of Timișoara received the visit of the new Counselor for Press and Culture of the US Embassy in Romania, Mr. Timothy E. Gerhardson (Counselor for Public Affairs), accompanied by Ms. Isabella Alexandrescu, Coordinator of the Embassy's cultural programs. The two met with representatives of the management of the Western University of Timișoara and the institution's American Studies program.

The topics covered were diverse and generous, focusing on exploring as effectively as possible the potential for collaboration between UVT and the US academic, cultural and business environments. Expanding the network of transatlantic partnerships of our university, rethinking the strategies and paradigms of international communication and promotion of Romanian higher education, in general, and Timisoara, in particular, increasing the attractiveness of UVT for American students, teachers, researchers, specialists and entrepreneurs, continuation of existing projects and the development of new common lines of action formed the core of a most fruitful discussion.
