With the fall of the communist regime, 30 years after the resumption of classes and 87 years after the opening of the first art higher education institution in Timișoara, the Faculty of Arts and Design of the Western University of Timișoara is celebrating with an event anniversary dedicated to the general public.

Thus, two large exhibitions were opened, one of the graduates of the Faculty of Arts and Design - ALUMNI - and one of the teaching staff - PAIDEIA - which reflects, in a similar way, the vision and trajectory of this faculty over the years. In addition to these, the ODISEEA exhibition of the first generation of students, which now constitutes a solid community of professionals, will be opened in the first part of next year, when conditions permit.

To give an international character to this anniversary, the fourth exhibition will open in Paris at the Amarica gallery on December 17.

The general public is invited to visit these high-profile exhibitions that honor both the UVT community and Timișoara as a whole, at the "Calpe Gallery" and the "Temporary Museum of Contemporary Art" (Theresia Bastion), between November 17-30 (between 12:00 - 18:00), as well as at the "Helios Gallery", between November 27 - December 30 (between 10:00 - 18:00), Amarica Gallery (Paris), December 17 - February 20.

To facilitate access beyond the space and calendar of the galleries, we are making available to you, starting December 1, a website dedicated to the area of ​​research and creation developed by us: arte-fact.uvt.ro   

Certainly, the Faculty of Arts and Design will continue to be a dynamic presence in the area of ​​education, creation and artistic research and will be a solid pillar in the construction of the comprehensive character of the Western University of Timișoara.
