Chamber Music Festival 2th edition (May 17-2022, XNUMX)

The Faculty of Music and Theater within the Western University of Timișoara - in partnership with the National Museum of Banat and the National Museum of Art Timișoara - organizes, during 2-17-May 2022, the Chamber Music Festival, an event that brings classical music lovers a series of highly artistic meetings. During the events, chamber music and poetry will enter into a fertile dialogue, in the interpretation of the students of the Faculty of Music and Theater and their teachers.

"Held this year in its 2003th edition, the festival was initiated in XNUMX by university professor Dr. Grațiela Negruțiu. Out of the desire to open the event to the local community of artistic events lovers, this year's edition will be held, for the first time, in several spaces in our city", stated the director of the festival, Rodica-Ortensia Zeman.

Thus, the official opening will take place Monday, May 2, from 19.00, at the Attic of the Banat National Museum in the Maria Theresa Bastion and will belong to the instrumentalists of the "Banatul" Philharmonic Timișoara Andreea Petrila, Csaba Zsolt Maksay, Darius Tereu, Ana-Maria Țipeanu, Lucian Petrila and Csermak Regina.

Tuesday, May 3, from 19.00:19.00 p.m., the Baroque Hall of the Timișoara National Art Museum will host, from XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., the recital offered by clarinetist students from the class of professor Cristian Miclea and clarinetist Tibi Boc, as well as pieces performed by the musicians Cristian Miclea, Gloria Maria Mihai and Victor Părău – all in accordance with the poems recited by the actor Claudiu Dogaru.

Wednesday, May 4, at the Attic of the Banat National Museum in the Maria Theresia Bastion, the students of professor Sorin Dogariu's class will delight the audience together with the acting students coordinated by Prof. Otilia Huzum, in an event that will highlight piano and poetry.

Thursday, May 5, from 19.00 p.m., at the Baroque Hall of the Timișoara National Art Museum, the flute ensemble Flautissimo coordinated by Professor Matei Ioachimescu will find its lyrical extensions in the poetry recital supported by the actor and academic Petru-Silviu Văcărescu.

The evenings of May 9, 10 and 11 will take place, starting at 19.00, in the Orpheum hall of the Faculty of Music and Theater and will bring to the fore the students of the brass class under the musical direction of Professor Sergiu Cârstea, the young performers from the class of Prof. Cristina Mălăncioiu , respectively the whole Percutissimo made up of percussionists from the class of professor Doru Roman.

Thursday, May 12, from 19.00:XNUMX p.m., at the Baroque Hall of the Timișoara National Art Museum, the students of Prof. Manuela Mihăilescu's class will enter into a dialogue with the actress Anca Roxana Constantin van der Zee who will give a poetry recital.

Sunday, May 15, from 17.00:XNUMX p.m., at the Attic of the Banat National Museum in the Maria Theresia Bastion, the public is invited to an evening of lieds performed by the students of the singing classes of teachers Ioana Mia Iuga and Simona Negru, who will also be present on stage , the accompaniment being performed by the pianists Silviana-Ana Cîrdu and Aida Marc.

The last event of the Chamber Music Festival will take place Tuesday, May 17, from 19.00, in the Orpheum hall of the Faculty of Music and Theatre. It is about a recital of lieds performed by the students of the singing classes of teachers Mariana Șarba, Silvia Sorina Munteanu, Darius Iordănescu and Diana Matei, with the soprano Silvia Sorina Munteanu as a guest. The event will benefit from the accompaniment of pianists Silviana-Ana Cîrdu, Marcela Sorina Costea, Aida Marc and Rareș Păltineanu.
