In a first for Timișoara, UVT is organizing the "Women in Data Science" conference

Conference "Women in Data Science”, organized by FabLab in partnership with the Banat IT Association, at the Western University of Timișoara, a first for our university center, wants to educate and inspire young generations to pursue careers in this innovative field, as well as professionals from organizations, to guide them to better understand the complexity surrounding their work. UVT rector, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "The involvement of our fellow researchers, who mentor groups of students in the spirit of Data Science, is prodigious. Timișoara, through the Western University of Timișoara, aligns itself with a special and remarkable international circuit, offering a significant new premiere by hosting the conference dedicated to the role of women researchers in the field of Data Science. This scientific debate format adds, of course, extra international visibility to the Timisoara university center, and places us on the WiDS world map."
