In accordance with the public role it assumes in the community, as the main comprehensive university in the western region of Romania, the Western University of Timișoara offers the public a series of cultural events and productions, through the significant involvement of specialists, experts and sector representatives creative and artistic from our faculties and research centers. These events, grouped under the banner "At UVT, Culture is the Capital!", contribute to the cultural profile of the future European Capital of Culture - "Timișoara 2023".
In this context, UVT organizes on Friday, April 16, from 10:00 a.m., the "Integration of cultural resources of UVT - Horizon 2023" conference, during which the events that the institution will publicly propose and which, together, can form a cultural master-plan of UVT's participation in all the cultural events of 2023.
Among the initiatives proposed by UVT within the future calendar of the program "Timișoara 2023 - European Cultural Capital", we mention:
- The cycle of events with guests, "At UVT, Culture is capital!"
- A "UVT 2023" cultural program with its own identity
- International cultural cooperation – through the UNITA network and the ELIA project
- Timișoara International Literature Festival - central pillar of "TM2023", supported in partnership with UVT
- Logistics for cultural events – offered free of charge by UVT in the premises and halls of the university's heritage
