Medals for CSUVT road riders at the 2022 National Cycling and Paracycling Championships

The University Sports Club "Vest de West University of Timișoara" participated this weekend, through cycling team, at the National Cycling and Paracycling Championships 2022, where he achieved notable results, both in Romania and in Moldova. At the individual time trial, the CSUVT drivers wore the National Champion t-shirt:

  • 1st place – Mădălin Gaiță (Master category);
  • 1st place – Andrei Sobennicov (CN of the Republic of Moldova, Elite category);
  • 1st place – Arman Garibean (NC of the Republic of Moldova in the U23 category);

We also pride ourselves on:

  • 2nd place – Georgeta Ungureanu (Female Elite) and the title of National Vice-Champion;
  • 3rd place – Natalia Mănescu (U23 category);
  • 3rd place – Erick Rogoz (U23).

In the long-distance event, on a 120 km route, with a very steep profile, the team obtained 2nd place - through Georgeta Ungureanu and 3rd place - through Natalia Mănescu. Unfortunately, our little one, Alin Toader, fell dangerously while on the run. Erick Rogoz, in turn, fell on one of the very dangerous turns, due to the wet road, after a torrential rain, but he finished in 5th place. Mihai Băbaîță was on the breakaway over 120 km, but he had to left the pedal after a race incident and ended up in 9th place. Over the Prut, the title of National Champion was retained by Andrei Sobennicov, followed by Arman Garibean.
