Advanced mentoring in JavaScript/DOM programming and modular web application development

After successfully launching the programs of Cyber ​​security and by Blockchain entrepreneurship, the Western University of Timișoara reopens registrations for the postgraduate program dedicated to advanced specialization in programming through Applied Web Technologies.

Pre-registrations for the new postgraduate program "Applied Web Technologies", organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics from UVT, are open until early 2022, the course to start at the end of January.

The application components offered to students through this new postgraduate program include elements of Javascript programming, dependency management with Node.js and npm, using Chrome DevTools for debugging web applications, Git and Github versioning systems, managing data types, values ​​and references, functions and classes, ES6 modules, DOM manipulation, introduction to the React ecosystem and JSX syntax, but also other related web applications and systems.

The mentors who will support the program are:

 Dr. Alexander Robert Vlasiu, technical lead in the field of web applications, with research activity in: web technologies, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence;

 Iulian Vladu – senior Fullstack Engineer, with experience in developing web, mobile and desktop applications.

Program director, from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, is dr. Stelian Mihalas, lecturer in the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of UVT, and the coordinator responsible for the postgraduate programs, in the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of UVT, is dr. Alexandra Fortis.

The course is aimed at people who hold a bachelor's degree, with a minimum level of knowledge in the field (graduates of bachelor's programs, master's students, doctoral students, junior programmers or beginners in the web field, but also people in the process of professional reconversion). The "Applied Web Technologies" program will take place over 14 weeks, in a group of 20 students, with a training duration of 84 hours, the equivalent of 8 transferable university study credits (ECTS). Completing the postgraduate study program leads to the acquisition of a certificate attesting professional skills.
