LIVE presentation of the Public Administration study program

After more than a year of online school, some of the teachers who teach at UVT, in the specialization Public Administration gathered in an amphitheater on Thursday, June 10, 2021, in an information session. They addressed both the high school students who would like to come to the Western University for Admission in July 2021, as well as their own students who missed the university and whom they saw only in the limited space of the gmeet quads.

The interventions of the participants painted the image of the educational path to the Public Administration specialization, from admission, passing through studentship and up to the career opportunities of the graduates.

The Public Administration program has been offered by the Faculty of Political Sciences (PFC) since 2015, as the Director of the Department of Political Sciences, lect. dr. Alexandru Jădăneanț, who created an overall description of the specialization focusing on the strategic assets intended to induce a high school graduate to submit his application for admission. It was pointed out that there is an increasing number of budgeted places allocated to the program (currently 30), corresponding to the increasing interest registered in admission. Sub-prefect Ovidiu Drăgănescu, associate teaching staff of the program, spoke about the need for graduates of Administrative Sciences in the public administration in Romania, but also about the profile of the graduate, as a person who, in addition to the general theoretical training acquired in the faculty, would, in his view, be , a brave person, interested in the good of the community. Dr. Alexandru Duță, citing his personal experience as a PFC graduate, later a specialist inspector within the Timiș County Council, showing that, in the projects to which he contributed, creativity and innovation can be combined in public administration. The voice of the students was represented by Mădălina Mosoretti, from the second year, who described the student life during the pandemic and the way of collaboration with the teachers, also talking about the exceptional experience she had in the recently completed internship at the Timiș County Pension House.

Moderator of the event, lect. Dr. Corina Turșie, coordinator of the Public Administration program, invited active, involved young people concerned with solving the problems of the communities in which they live to come to this specialization, the Western University of Timișoara waiting for them to claim their place in the amphitheater.
