The Faculty of Arts and Design of the West University of Timișoara naturally continues the emblematic events they organize. We are pleased to invite you to attend the conference "An infinite memory. Brâncusi at Târgu Jiu"Friday, January 12, 2023, starting at 12 noon, la Attic Gallery of the Faculty of Arts and Design - UVT (Str. Oituz, no. 4).

On behalf of the UVT management, the event will be attended by prof. Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea, Rector of UVT, and from the Faculty of Arts and Design will be present prof. Dr. Camil Mihăescu, FAD Dean, together with teaching staff, students, researchers and guests.

This conference is unique because of the prominent personalities who will speak: Lucia Corrain (professor at the University of Bologna), Victor Ieronim Stoichiță, Doina Lemny, Giordano Conti and Cristian-Robert Velescu.

We therefore invite you on January 12, at the Mansarda Gallery of the Faculty of Arts and Design - UVT, to enrich our cultural awareness with this dialogue that will be supported by exceptional guests.

Lucia Corrain he is a professor at the University of Bologna and a scientific advisor at the Palazzo Poggi Museum. Conducts research on art theory and semiotics. In his university studies, he had Omar Calabrese and Umberto Eco as coordinators.

Victor Ieromin Stoichiță he had a prestigious academic career, collaborating with many important institutions in Europe. He currently teaches at the department of modern art at the University of Friborg – Switzerland. He is probably the most authoritative voice of the Romanian diaspora in the field of art history and theory - DHC of UVT, UNARTE Bucharest and the Catholic University of Louvrain.

Doina Lemny is an art historian, museographer and researcher of Romanian origin who lives in Paris. She worked at the Center Pompidou – Paris for almost three decades and specializes in Brâncusi's work.

Giordano Conti is an associate professor at the University of Bologna, architect and author of the photographs in the volume "Una infnita memoria. Il ciclo di Constantin Brâncuşi a Târgu Jiu".

Christian Robert Velescu he was a university professor at UVT and UNARTE Bucharest, and museographer at the Bucharest National Art Museum. He has published numerous books with the avant-garde and Brâncuși's work as his favorite subject, the most recent volume being entitled "Pre-avant-garde and avant-garde. Kaleidoscopic transformations in the art of the early 20th century".
