On Saturday, September 3, 2022, in the Evangelical Church in Harman Citadel, the 2021 Union of Plastic Artists (UAP) Awards ceremony took place.

Among the UAP laureates appointed this year are three visual artists who belong to the academic community of the Western University of Timișoara, academics from the Faculty of Arts and Design: prof.univ.dr. Adriana Lucaciu, who won the Award for graphics, university lecturer dr. Mihai Zgondoiu, who won the Prize for Multimedia and Dr. Nicolae Moldovan, winner of the Award for Decorative Arts.

The event was organized by the Union of Visual Artists from Romania, in partnership with the Harman Town Hall, the AVV Harman Association and the Fortified Evangelical Church Cetatea Harman, with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, Rotary Romania-Republic of Moldova District 2241, BES Romania, Hibridul SA , Nordexim and Boromir. The organization of the UAP Gala in the Harman commune represents a premiere that marks the importance of the artistic movement in Harman, the interest shown by the residents and the local authorities for art, the history of the place and the current role of the movement in Romanian contemporary art.
