On December 15, 2023, the 780th edition of the Clean Environment Awards Gala took place, where the winners were chosen in the presence of representatives of the authorities, companies and NGOs involved in environmental protection. This anniversary edition marked the participation of 15 projects entered over 80 years of competition. The jury, made up of representatives of different entities, evaluated the XNUMX projects entered and designated the winners in different categories, such as environmental initiatives, educational initiatives and successful partnerships.

The special award dedicated to Educational Institutions was awarded to the Western University of Timișoara for the "Green Moon at UVT" event, which is a large event dedicated to the awareness and promotion of sustainable development and environmental protection, held between May 6 and June 5. This initiative, reaching its second edition in 2023, included more than 23 events focused on educating and mobilizing participants towards more responsible and sustainable behavior. Starting with the preparatory actions, such as the UNITA Green Mobilities Ideathon & Hackathon, which encouraged innovation in sustainable mobility and the promotion of cycling as a means of daily transport, and the guided tours in the UVT Urban Garden, which informed primary school students about the importance of urban gardens in the vicinity their homes or schools, the event was full of creative and educational initiatives.
