The first BAC preparation session, a success

As part of the preparation activities for the baccalaureate exam, the West University of Timișoara "brought together", last weekend, over 3000 students from the XIIth grade from the whole country, the preparation sessions for all disciplines totaling over 5000 participants.

The training program started on January 16, 2021, according to the following schedule:

  • 9:00-10:30 – Romanian language and literature;
  • 10:45-12:15 – Mathematics and History;
  • 12:30-14:00 – Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Physics, Geography and Computer Science.

In the following weeks, the list of subjects included in the training program will be completed with Philosophy, Logic, Communication and Argumentation, Psychology and Sociology.

The schedule will remain the same for each of the Saturday preparation days, being established in such a way as to allow students to participate in the activities of all three subjects for which they will take the written test in the baccalaureate exam.

Although the organization of these activities is already a tradition that UVT carries out every year, the fact that this year it takes place online allows us to support students from the whole country. This aspect was really appreciated by the students, the number of those registered reaching over 6500 participants from all the counties of the country. Also, the feedback received from the students after the first training session confirms the need for such support activities, as the young people are delighted with the content of the proposed program.

The meeting on Saturday 16 January was just the first of a series of 19 meetings prepared by UVT, with the baccalaureate exam guidance program continuing until mid-June 2021. The good news, for students who have failed so far to register to participate in the didactic sessions, is that they can continue to register, by completing TO THIS FORM. The organization of these activities involves, in addition to the actual conduct of training sessions via live videoconference, the creation of a virtual "space" where students can permanently access all the materials transmitted by teachers (in the form of courses on the Google Classroom platform), thus ensuring that and students who will enroll along the way will be able to benefit from all the information previously presented.

The program of topics addressed weekly, for each discipline, is available HERE.

Thus, the Western University of Timișoara continues to be carefully concerned not only with supporting its students, but also with future students, ensuring them training and development opportunities of the highest quality.
