More than 50 students from the Western University of Timișoara, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, together with the University of East Anglia, Great Britain and Tohoku University, Japan participated in March 2021 in an international online workshop entitled "Europe - Japan Collaborative Session Spring 2021”.
The discussions focused on the importance of economic relations between the European Union and Japan, but also between Great Britain and Japan post-Brexit, along with the role of digitization and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the world economy.
The success of this international project laid the foundations for a new collaboration with Tohoku University, Japan, the university ranked 1 according to Times Higher Education Japan University Rankings 2021, respectively in the top 101–200 respectively Impact Rankings 2021 and 201–250 acc World University Rankings 2021.
Thus, UVT-FEAA students participated between April 8 and May 27, 2021 in a new international project called "Connect the World", together with 40 other students from various internationally prestigious universities.
The project took place online under the coordination of Tohoku University, Japan, in collaboration with UVT-FEAA, but also with other partner universities, such as: Bonn University, Germany; Copenhagen University, Denmark; Foreign Trade University, Vietnam; Mandakh University, Mongolia; Paderborn University, Germany; Wuhan University, China.
