The scientific performances achieved by researchers from Timişoara are once again enjoying international recognition, following the interest they have shown in investigating the cognitive mechanisms through which certain people end up showing a high emotional vulnerability.
Thus, the Western University of Timișoara, together with its partners (Milan-Bicocca University, Italy and Ghent University, Belgium), won a European project whose general purpose is to increase the scientific performance and research management capacity of UVT.
With a total value of 900.000 euros, the "Learning in Emotionally Vulnerable People" project is carried out by a research team in psychology from our university, coordinated by prof. Dr. Florin Alin Sava, together with two other teams with top scientific performances from the partner universities. In addition to the joint research projects that will be carried out over three years (between October 2020 and September 2023), there will be numerous exchanges of experience and training internships available for researchers.
The launch of the project took place online, with the participation of representatives of the three partner universities and a representative from the European Commission. This Twinning type project is financed by the HORIZON 2020 Research and Innovation Program, being supported by the European Union, based on Grant number 952464.
