Proposals for reform and investments through digitization

The West University of Timișoara is involved in the public consultation process launched by the Government of Romania for the elaboration of major reform and investment proposals related to higher education and research programs. These proposals will be included in the project of the National Reform and Resilience Plan (PNRR) that Romania will address to the European Commission (EC) and which will be implemented in the period 2021-2027 by the EC together with the Government of Romania.

UVT contributes to the realization of the National Reform and Resilience Plan (PNRR) with three major reform and investment proposals, sent to the Government of Romania through the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, aimed at:

  • Digitization of administrative and educational processes to increase the accessibility of higher education and ensure a green and digital transition;
  • Digitization for the creation and transparency of the National Competence Framework, the updating of occupational standards, the establishment of a network of centers for the recognition of previous learning and the flexibility of study programs in the context of lifelong learning and the European approach to study microcredits;
  • Digitization to increase the relevance of research activities in the context of innovation and technological transfer relevant to the private environment and the introduction of Challenge Based Learning contexts, starting from concrete problems faced by socio-economic partners.
