"Realities and challenges in the space of Cyber ​​Security"

Investment frauds, deepfakes, password security, smishing, phishing, social engineering, prevention of computer crime, crypto crimes, digital forensics, awareness and resilience, these are the topics addressed by the new regional project "Realities and challenges in the space of Cyber ​​Security", developed by the Inspectorate of the Arad County Police, the Timișoara Organized Crime Brigade and the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of West Timișoara, together with other partners.

The project will take place in the counties of Arad, Timiș and Caraș Severin and aims to support the public and private environment through information activities, prevention and awareness of the pitfalls of the cyber environment and the development of cyber security culture, by presenting concrete examples and specific themes field, adapted to the understanding of the general public. For the first phase of the project, educational sessions have been scheduled, which will take place in Arad (April 9), Timișoara (April 17, from 10 a.m., in the Aula Magna of the University of West Timișoara, Bd. Vasile Pârvan no. 4 and on April 18, from 10 a.m., at the "King Mihai I" University of Life Sciences in Timișoara, Calea Aradului, no. 119) and Reșita (April 23).

For online activity, accounts have been created on the main social media platforms, so that information can be obtained more simply and quickly:

Public and private institutions, as well as the general public, are expected both at the educational sessions and in the online environment, to be an active part of this project and to contribute, with questions and personal experiences, to the presentation of the reality regarding the challenges in the online environment.
