"You too can be Socio Claus!" - charity campaign at the end of the year

The Department of Sociology within the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology, West University of Timișoara, organizes, for the fourth consecutive year, the event Socio Claus, manifestation of a charitable nature, intended to raise funds for children with disabilities, but also to raise awareness of public opinion regarding their acceptance and social integration.

This year's event, "You can be too Socio Claus", it aims to be a campaign with triple impact: a blood donation campaign (among students and at the level of the entire Timișoara community); a charity event (by donating vouchers obtained by blood donors for children with disabilities); an awareness campaign (through the distribution of informative materials regarding disability, therapies, the offer of specialized centers in the city of Timișoara).

The campaign will take place at the Timișoara Regional Blood Transfusion Center between December 6-15, 2021. To schedule a donation, donors are asked to use one of the Donorium online applications (https://despre.donorium.ro/) or BlooDoChallenge (https://bloodochallenge.com/).

The partners of this year's event are: the Student Organization of the Western University of Timișoara (OSUT), the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Timiș (DGASPC Timiș), the Directorate of Social Assistance of the Municipality of Timișoara, the Day Center for Children with Disabilities "Podul" Long", Speranța Empowerment Foundation, Speranța Resource and Educational Assistance Center, Marisa Recovery Center, Micile Comori Association, Mother Junior School, Casa Faenza Association, Children and Fairies Association, Elisar Recovery and Neurological Rehabilitation Center, Adela Psychology Office Paliuc, Step by Step Development Center, Individual Psychology Office Berghea Laura Caia.
