On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, starting at 14:30 p.m., in the A01 amphitheater, there will be a new conference, this time in English, organized by the West University of Timișoara as part of the "Timișoara Ideas Fest". Our guest is Mrs. Simona-Mirela Miculescu, Ambassador, Permanent Delegate of Romania to UNESCO. The conference is moderated by Lect. Univ. Dr. Alexandru Jădăneant. During the event, 12 FulBright scholars will also be present in public.
Her Excellency, Mrs. Simona-Mirela Miculescu is Doctor Honoris Causa of UVT and represents a model of perseverance and success obtained with a lot of work. She is the first woman spokeswoman in the history of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the first woman in Romania's diplomatic history with the diplomatic rank of Ambassador and the first woman to head the Permanent Mission of Romania to the United Nations.
About the event, the rector of the West University in Timișoara, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea, said: "The conferences held at the Western University of Timișoara always bring distinguished guests. This event is part of the "Timișoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture" Cultural Program, Oameni territory, Reflectiţii station, is financed by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Center, co-financed by the Timiș County Council.
