The best 12 students from Timiș County, who obtained the maximum result in the Baccalaureate 2020, general grade 10, were awarded, on July 3, by the UVT and the Timiș County School Inspectorate, in an outdoor ceremony, in the university park.
On the occasion of the awards ceremony, the Rector of UVT, prof. Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea congratulated the deserving students and handed them diplomas of excellence, along with UVT awards, encouraging them to choose one of the undergraduate study programs offered by UVT, in accordance with their training and aspirations: "I am very happy to congratulate you, dear 10th graders, from the academic community of the most important comprehensive university in western Romania. Your top Baccalaureate results are proof that intelligence and talent, along with hard work and ambition, are ingredients for school success under any conditions, even in difficult times, such as now, after the pandemic. UVT invites you to choose one of the 75 degree programs offered by the 11 faculties of our university, and we offer you a wide package of benefits, which you fully deserve. We have demonstrated for many years that at UVT the teachers are with the students, looking together for the way through which the students can fulfill their best version, upon graduation, as the exhortation by which we are known internationally says: Become Your Best!".
The General School Inspector of ISJ Timiș, Mr. Marin Popescu emphasized that the number of graduates with grade 10 is higher this year compared to last year, a good sign for education in Timiș County.
The 12 grade 10 students at the Baccalaureate are: Adelina Camelia Tuță (Constantin Diaconovici Loga National College Timișoara), Alessandra Georgiana Bădescu (Grigore Moisil Theoretical High School Timișoara), Bianca Nicoleta Mănoiu (Bănățean National College Timișoara), Nicola Claudia Ciortan (Theoretical High School "Vlad Țepeș" Timișoara), Andreea Alisia Popovici (Theoretical High School "Grigore Moisil" Timișoara), Iudith Nichescu (National Pedagogical College "Carmen Sylva" Timișoara), Sergiu Ionuț Novac (Theoretical High School "Coriolan Brediceanu" Lugoj), Anda Floriana Subțire (Theoretical High School "Coriolan Brediceanu" Lugoj), Coralia Iordănescu (Bănățean National College Timișoara), Antonia Laura Pup (National Pedagogical College "Carmen Sylva" Timișoara), Ana Cristina Lucescu (Art High School "Ion Vidu" Timișoara), Gabriela Cristina Muntean (Timișoara Fine Arts High School).
