And in 2021, the Western University of Timișoara continued the tradition of celebrating the beginning of a new academic year in the effervescent atmosphere of the only music festival in Romania that takes place in a university: UNIVIBES by UVT.

With the opening of the academic year, established artists turned the UVT headquarters into a huge dancefloor for one day, to celebrate together the start of a new academic year, invading the university with electric rhythms and more.

Some of the "coolest" bands of the moment performed on the two distinct stages located at the UVT headquarters. On Electric stage climbed the Subcarpathians, Toulouse Lautrec and The Skywalkers, while on Backyard stage (in the courtyard behind the UVT headquarters, next to the basketball court), Fără Zahar, Monokrom, Lia Burg and Dalla sang.

The rector of UVT, university professor Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "And this year we rejoiced, sang and celebrated the beginning of a new university year in the same specific way, through the UNIVIBES Festival, together with some of the best Romanian bands, on two distinct outdoor stages, at the UVT headquarters. It was a festival open to the entire community, because UVT is part of the spirit and energy of Timisoara."
