The Western University of Timișoara is always close to young people, being aware of how important it is that education and culture be accessible to them and inspire them. Thus, it brings high school students role models and personalities to motivate them, during conferences with guests, film screenings, outings in the neighborhoods and other events to popularize science.
On Thursday, September 29, UVT brought culture to the pre-university environment, more precisely in the middle of the community of one of the traditional high schools in Timișoara, the "Constantin Diaconovici Loga" National College. The beloved author Ioana Pârvulescu, essayist, publicist, literary critic and university professor, held the conference "Politeness and the intelligence of objects. The recourse to the "Belle Epoque" method", moderated by Timișoara literary critic Mircea Mihăieș.
Mrs. Pârvulescu is a highly respected personality in academic circles and her visits are always an occasion of delight for the Timisoara community. Through these conferences, we want to guide the younger generation and thus shape a future where culture and education become fundamental, declared the rector of the West University of Timișoara, prof. Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea.
The conference "Politeness and the intelligence of objects. The recourse to the "Belle Epoque" method» was organized by the Western University of Timișoara and is part of the Cultural Program "Timișoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture", the Oameni territory, the Reflections station, financed by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Center, co-financed by the Timiș County Council.
