The most urgent aspects related to the internationalization of higher education and the continuation of the organization of international mobility in the global context caused by the COVID-19 pandemic are analyzed these days in the framework of the "Erasmus+ Seminar dedicated to higher education". Organized by the National Agency for Community Programs in the Field of Education and Professional Training (ANPCDEFP), during November 24-26, 2020, it brings together all the universities in Romania that implement activities within the Erasmus+ international mobility program.
The Erasmus+ office of UVT was invited on this occasion to give a presentation about the successful organization of the first virtual edition of the annual "Erasmus Staff Training Week" event. The presentation of the example of good practices was carried out by Cristina Cojocaru, Head of the Erasmus+ Office and main coordinator of the virtual edition of this event, which took place between October 5-9, 2020 and brought together 98 participants, coming from higher education institutions partners with UVT from 30 different states.
In the current context, which affects the organization of (international) activities in a physical format, the proactivity of UVT's Erasmus+ Office and the quick and efficient adaptation to the virtual format of an event already successfully organized at UVT in the last seven years was appreciated at the national level. The Western University of Timișoara was nominated as an example of good practice at the national level in past years, especially in terms of mobility management for students from disadvantaged backgrounds and for the annual organization of the "Erasmus Staff Training Week" event.
