UVT hosts "UNITA Governance Board and connected events"

UVT hosts, between May 30 and June 3, 2022, the international event UNITA Governance Board and connected events, in which the six founding universities of UNITA European University are represented, along with six other associated partner universities. The event, held over five days, brings together in Timișoara dozens of representatives of UNITA's European partners, but also representatives of the central institutions of higher education and research in Romania, of the other higher education institutions in Romania that are members of European university alliances, of UVT's partner institutions at the local level.

The West University of Timișoara is part of UNITA European University, together with Università degli Studi di Torino (Italy), Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (France), Université Savoie Mont Blanc (France), Universidad de Zaragoza (Spain) and Universidade Beira Interior (Portugal), which were joined in the last year by six other associated partner universities from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland and Ukraine (Università degli Studi di Brescia – Italy, Universidad Publica de Navarra – Spain, Transylvania University of Brașov – Romania, Instituto Politécnico da Guarda – Portugal, HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale – Switzerland and Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University – Ukraine).

The member institutions of the UNITA consortium propose, together with 41 other alliances organized under the Erasmus+ European Universities umbrella, to contribute to the redefinition of the European Education Area. This will be possible through the development of new teaching/learning/mobility models, relevant research projects for the communities they belong to and the creation of a UNITA academic and student community connected through a virtual interuniversity campus.
