The Western University of Timișoara and the "Sever Bocu" Press Museum organized the first edition of the "Petre Stoica" Literary Creation Camp for Young Writers. Between September 10 and 12, nine young writers - poets, prose writers and essayists - from the country and the Republic of Moldova met at the "Petre Stoica" Memorial House to create and to get to know the Jimbolian public.
The nine residents took part in a series of workshops with writers such as Adriana Babeți, Pia Brînzeu, Marcel Tolcea and Tudor Crețu and participated in a series of guided tours in the Banat city which boasts six museums and memorial houses. They were joined by four young people passionate about literature from Jimbolia Technological High School.

Thus, on September 10, starting at 19:00, Adriana Babeți and Pia Brînzeu took us to the houses in the books and in the books in the houses. On September 11, also from 19:00, I learned from Marcel Tolcea and Robert Șerban what else can the Poet do in today's world. The day of September 12 had the nine young writers as protagonists: they read from what they wrote during the days spent in Jimbolia.

The rector of UVT, university professor Dr. Marilen Gabriel Pirtea stated: "At UVT, Culture is the Capital, and the events that our university organizes are aimed not only at students, not only from Timisoara, but at an extended community. UVT has its doors open and at the same time goes out into the agora and offers cultural and educational events for the benefit of as many people as possible. Culture must reach from the center of Timișoara to the suburbs, it must address students, high school students, pensioners, but also various professional categories, or corporatists, officials, practically everyone. The Literary Creation Camp for Young Writers "Petre Stoica" brings together talented young people, passionate about literature, from Iasi, Bucharest, Timișoara, Suceava, Republic of Moldova but, at the same time, it is the perfect pretext to organize a series of effervescent cultural actions, with substance, for the Jimbolian public. UVT prepares many other cultural activities for the people of Timisoara, for the tourists who will visit our city, but also for Romanians in general, including the diaspora."
