UVT launches a new postgraduate program with established mentors

The West University of Timișoara follows the trend of digitization of communication, becoming through its innovative applications a model of best practices in the education and research process.

After successfully launching the programs of Cyber ​​security and by Blockchain entrepreneurship, UVT proposes at the beginning of this year, a new postgraduate course, this time dedicated to specialization in programming through Applied Web Technologies and organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.

Registrations can be made online during the period 11.01.2021 - 08.02.2021, with the testing taking place between 09 - 10 February 2021, and the interview taking place between 11 - 12 February 2021.

Among the application components proposed to the students are Javascript programming elements, dependency management with Node.js and npm, using Chrome DevTools for debugging web applications, Git and Github versioning systems, managing data types, values ​​and references, functions and classes, modules ES6, DOM manipulation, introduction to the React ecosystem and JSX syntax, and other related web applications and systems.

Program lecturers (Şerban Cristea, mentor in JavaScript/React Web Development/Software Architect at Seltronix Software; Flavian Stef, mentor in Web Programming Tools and Technologies/Software Architect at Saguaro Technology) have experience in application programming and are recognized in the IT & SoftDeveloping sectors, coming from the strongest development teams of companies in our region.

Program director, from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, is dr. Stelian Mihalas, and the coordinator responsible for postgraduate programs, within the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of UVT, is dr. Alexandra Fortis.

The course is aimed at people who hold a bachelor's degree, with a minimum level of knowledge in the field (graduates of bachelor's programs, master's students, doctoral students, junior programmers or beginners in the web field, but also people in the process of professional reconversion).

The "Applied Web Technologies" program takes place online, over the course of 14 weeks, in a group of a maximum of 20 students, with a training duration to achieve the proposed objectives of 84 hours, the equivalent of 8 transferable university study credits ( ECTS). Completing the postgraduate study program leads to the acquisition of a certificate attesting professional skills.
