The West University of Timișoara supports students in the responsible and informed choice of the optimal career path, by enrolling in the study program that is appropriate to individual expectations and preferences, offering webinar programs for personal development and individual career counseling services, starting from April 13, 2022.
The webinar program offered by the Career Counseling and Guidance Center (CCOC) from UVT supports students in shaping the process of self-knowledge, through topics such as personal interests and values, identifying and understanding emotions, organizing and prioritizing time and other topics that refer to managing efficient use of own resources. In addition to webinars, UVT recommends using The YTM platform, developed by the Western University of Timișoara for the purpose of psycho-vocational testing and the generation of reports on the interests, abilities and skills of users, for orientation towards a certain educational and professional path. Thus, in addition to the possibility of testing, YTM makes available to the beneficiaries information about the study programs of the universities in Timișoara and information about socio-cultural programs and events addressed to pupils and students. Through this platform, students can evaluate their personality, skills and professional interests, through a vocational orientation test. The report and recommendations resulting from the completion of this test can be very useful in the process of making a decision about the university studies they will follow in the future.
Also, the Career Counseling and Guidance Center (CCOC) of the West University of Timișoara (UVT) provides individual career counseling services, useful to students or other aspirants to university studies, offering practical support for choosing the educational path and professional. During the counseling sessions, aspects related to skills, abilities, personal and professional interests, the UVT educational offer and other relevant aspects are discussed, so that the beneficiaries can make the best decision regarding their own career.
