The Faculty of Music and Theatre, within the West University of Timișoara, in partnership with the West Timișoara University Foundation, is pleased to invite you to join us at the series of events WePerform – Music and theater evenings, the second edition, within the project "At UVT, Culture is the Capital". The project is part of the Cultural Program "Timișoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture" - Oameni territory - Reflections station and is financed by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Center.
On Thursday, June 16, 2022, the third event of the project took place in Piața Traian, which started with a theater workshop, after 18:00, coordinated by assistant. university Dr. Constantin Tovarnițchii, and from 20:00 p.m. we enjoyed the performance of the second-year acting class students of the performance "Călău pentru sine" (Commedia dell'Arte), author: Biancolelli Nicolo Domenico, director: assistant. university Laura Avarvari and cda. Claudia Ieremia. In the cast, the students: Teodor Căuș, Răzvan Oroian, Claudiu Piparcă, Vlad Vajdovics, Damian Dumitru, Eduard Păpară, Denisa Suciu, Tania Ionescu, Laura Gubavu, Mădălina Gligor, Cristina Rotaru, Sonia Budrițan. In the continuation of the evening, there was a moment of discussion/reflection with the students and the coordinating teachers - Artist talk.
The following events within the "WePerform - Music and Theater Evenings" project will take place in the central squares and in two parks in Timișoara, as follows:
– June 21, 2022, 20 p.m. "FIREWORKS" piano and flute recital, in Piața Libertății;
– June 22, 2022, 20 p.m. "MUSIC EVENING" lyric evening, in Libertății Square;
– June 24, 2022, 20 p.m. "COMEDY OF ARTISTS" improvisational theater, in Dacia Park;
– June 28, 2022, 21 p.m. "DAWN-WAY" contemporary theater, in Carmen Sylva Park.
