West Summer University (WSU – www.wsu.osut.ro), the summer school for students, organized at the West University of Timișoara (UVT), includes a program of special events, dedicated to education and friendship, which takes place this year between July 21 and August 6, 2022, in Timișoara. In the UVT program, students are curious to discover the secrets of the university environment, simulating the entire experience of student life.
Each participant chose, at the time of registration, one of the 11 faculties of the West University of Timișoara, whose courses they attend during the summer school. Students have introductory educational activities for each field of study, which are prepared by university teachers. Also, counselors from the Career Counseling and Guidance Center (CCOC) at UVT carry out counseling and guidance activities with the participating students, to support them to make responsible decisions about their future career. Complementary to educational activities, students take part in various cultural, recreational and social activities, through which they complete their student experience in the university center in Timișoara.
UVT rector, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea: "The summer meetings, to which students register annually, as part of the West Summer University project, are organized through the collaboration between the West University of Timișoara (UVT) and the Student Organization of the West University of Timișoara (OSUT), being welcome opportunities for the young participants to come in contact with the experiences of student life. We are happy, again this summer, to welcome into the UVT community the interested and talented students who have enrolled in this program of discoveries, in the new special edition WSU22, which will give them the memories of the #BestSummer at #UVT!"
The accommodation of the participants is provided in a dormitory of the Western University of Timișoara, under safe conditions, in compliance with the legal provisions and UVT regulations in force.

West Summer University is part of the complex series of activities that the West University of Timișoara addresses to students and the pre-university environment.
