The West University of Timișoara, in partnership with DCG SRL Development Consultancy Group, announces the end of the implementation of the ENTREPRENEURS WORKSHOP project (ID POCU/82/3/7/106050), a project co-financed from the European Social Fund through the Capital Operational Program Human 2014-2020. The project was implemented in the West Region, respectively in the counties of Timiș, Arad, Caraș-Severin and Hundeoara, for a period of 36 months, starting from January 2018.

The general objective of the project was the creation of an innovative and sustainable framework conducive to the development of entrepreneurial skills, of establishing and developing businesses in the urban environment of the Western region.

• The specific objectives achieved through the implementation of the project:
• OS1. Development of entrepreneurial skills for 312 people from the target group, from the Western Region, who intended to establish a non-agricultural business in the urban environment;
• OS2. Supporting the establishment and development of 38 non-agricultural businesses in the urban environment in the 4 counties of the West Region;
• OS3. Creation of premises for adapting the 38 established businesses to the changes and needs of the business and socio-economic environment in the Western Region. 

The target group (GT) reached by the project is made up of 312 natural persons (unemployed, inactive persons - including students, persons who have a job and intended to establish a business in order to create new jobs).

• Details about WG members:
  • GT quantified by labor market status: 209 employees, including self-employed persons and 103 unemployed and inactive persons.
  • GT quantified by gender: 158 men, 154 women.
  • GT quantified at the local level: 191 people from Timiș County, 36 people from Hunedoara County, 44 people from Caraș – Severin County, 41 people from Arad County.

• Results at the end of the project:
  • 422 individuals informed about the project's activities through 15 project promotion events (outdoor and indoor) held in all counties of the West Region;
  • 312 natural persons trained and certified in the field of entrepreneurship;
  • 38 subsidized business plans and respectively 38 enterprises with a non-agricultural profile established in the urban area of ​​the West Region;
  • 38 participants whose business plans were selected for financing benefited from practical training courses and personalized advisory/consulting/mentoring services;
  • 91 jobs created to date within the funded businesses.

The way in which the project was completed will be presented in a online conferences, which will take place on January 8, 2021, starting at 11:00, in which we invite you to participate.
