Last year, the Law Faculty of the Western University of Timișoara (UVT) initiated the series of conferences "Judges of Europe. Europe of judges", in which events are hosted at the UVT that have as guests some of the current or former judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights. The guests of these events discuss topics related to the cohesive power of law, through its international and regional dimension, in the context of an increased risk of fragmentation of Europe.
In this series of conferences, Mrs. prof. univ. dr. Iulia Motoc, elected judge at the International Criminal Court and former judge at the European Court of Human Rights, will deliver the lecture entitled "Humanism, legal technicality and justice: rethinking human rights". The event will take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, starting at 17 p.m., in the headquarters of the Western University of Timișoara (Bd. Vasile Pârvan no. 4), Amphitheater A01.
