At the opening of the Entrepreneurship Marathon, the Rector of UVT, Marilen Gabriel Pirtea, conveyed: In today's world, entrepreneurship is not a fad, or a fashion, but it is a foundation of the culture of modern society. The culture of entrepreneurship is a significant part of this ecosystem of which we are a part, and UVT is at the forefront of promoting entrepreneurial development methods among young people.

Cristina Chiriac, president of CONAF: Society was not ready for the adoption of entrepreneurship education in the 90s. The key year was 2007, when we joined the EU. Then, we developed learning mechanisms for the two segments that need support through public policies – women and young people. We need mentorship, especially for the entrepreneurial culture. From the year 2023, entrepreneurial education will be a subject of study in the secondary school cycle, an important step to discover the vocation of young people for entrepreneurship. Education is essential, and the organization of this "Entrepreneurship Marathon" at UVT is not accidental, because UVT is one of the most advanced universities in which entrepreneurial culture is promoted, encouraging students to see themselves as persistent and talented future entrepreneurs.

Ana Dumitrache, country-head CTP Romania: Entrepreneurial practice also provides the answer to the challenges of the professions of the future, important for the academics and students present here today. Talking about successful models and consolidated careers, in an open and globalized economy, means talking about the professions of the future.

The entrepreneurship marathon is an important milestone, fixed in Timișoara, useful for the future entrepreneurial education of the young generations, an event defined by the three and a half hours of presentations and dialogues, 13 invited speakers, two major thematic sessions and a substantial leap of knowledge.
