The Western University of Timișoara continues to launch activities and projects in science, approached in an open way, for the university public but also for the community, in a broad sense.
Conference Series "Portraits of Romanian Physicists" returns this academic year, this time online, with the presence of some brilliant guests of research and innovation in physics, Romanians who have distinguished themselves in this field.
The next event of this type, held LIVE, from the "Portraits of Romanian Physicists" series, has as its guest physicist Cristian Presură, inventor of the optical sensor in the watch that measures the pulse, researcher at Philips Research Eindhoven, who will hold a dialogue with Prof. Univ. dr. Mădălin Bunoiu, vice-rector of UVT.
Cristian Presură is a very well-known name in Romania because, from the seriousness of the scientist, he ended up popularizing high science. In his books published at Humanitas, at the conferences he holds in Romania, on his youtube channel, Presură uses an easy to understand and friendly language to explain physics in stellar dimensions or in the infinitesimal concentration of quantum.
We invite you, therefore, to watch Cristian Presură, Monday, 30.11.2020, from 18:00, LIVE on the page of UVT Facebook // @SAS UVT.
