The role of innovation priorities in the Western region, in the context of living labs and open innovation, for the sustainable development of communities

- Press invitation -

The Western University of Timișoara (UVT) has asserted itself as a facilitator of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, which interdisciplinary approaches concrete research-innovation themes through which solutions are offered to the challenges of the regional, national and European socio-economic environment.

With a particular focus on open innovation processes, UVT consolidated three years ago the first living laboratory hosted by a university in Romania, becoming an effective member of European Network of Living Labs - ENoLL; through its complex approach, the UVT Digital & Green Living Lab integrates all three plans of living laboratories: at the macro level, through participatory governance, at the meso level, through collaborative programs with partners from the public administration, the private environment and civil society, respectively at the micro, through projects that offer concrete answers to challenges received from partners.

UVT's initiatives in the field of digital transformation and green transition, to increase the quality of life, have received recognition and appreciation on numerous occasions, which brought UVT, and implicitly Timișoara, to the attention of the European Network of Living Laboratories, as a host for the future conference with sustainable impact "Open Living Lab Days".

The ENoLL delegation will be present in Timișoara during April 4-5, 2024, to agree with the Western University of Timișoara and its strategic partners the agenda of the conference that we will host between September 25-27, 2024.

Pârvan no. 4), at the press conference that will highlight the role of innovation priorities in the Western region in the context of living labs and open innovation for the sustainable development of communities.
