Prof. Dr. Eric Stark Maskin is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in the field of economic science today. The awarding of the Nobel Prize in 2007 (together with Leonid Hurwicz and Roger Myerson) "for laying the foundations of the theory of the design of mechanisms" (the so-called "reverse game theory") represented nothing more than the recognition of his intellectual influence in this field of knowledge.
