Having gone, like Enescu, as a young man abroad for studies, Cristian Măcelaru is currently one of the world's greatest conductors. By an incredible chance, he leaves his beloved Timisoara to study violin and conducting in America. The first steps towards music are due to the father: "His wish was for each of his ten children to play an instrument, this was also my first discovery of an ensemble sound, because the music evenings at our house they were present almost every day".
