Werner SOLLORS, "Henry B. and Anne M. Cabot" Professor of English, Emeritus, at Harvard University (United States of America), is one of the world's leading names in American literary and cultural studies and beyond. It has contributed essentially to the definition, hermeneutical framing and tracing the evolution of the concept of "ethnicity", one of the most prominent and complex of the immediate reality, both theoretically, conceptually and from a practical point of view. His works give special importance to the analysis of ethnic and racial identity dimensions, in the spirit of diversity and plurality emerging in the United States of America in the last half century.
