Completion of university studies
In accordance with the Regulationsuregarding the organization and conduct of the final exams for bachelor's and master's university studies, the exam to complete the university studies of license consists of two samples:
- Test 1 for the assessment of fundamental and specialist knowledge (5 credits);
- Sample 2 of presentation and defense of the undergraduate thesis (5 credits).
The final mark of the license exam represents the average of the marks obtained in the 2, and this must be greater than or equal to 6, for the exam to be passed. Each test must be graded with a grade greater than or equal to 5 to be passed.
The final exam of the university studies of MASTERS consists presentation and defense of the dissertation (for the promotion of which 10 credits are allocated).
The passing average of the dissertation exam must be at least 6, obtained from the average of the marks awarded by the members of the examination committee.
At the beginning of the final academic year of the bachelor's or master's cycle of university studies, students are required to register in order to coordinate the bachelor's or dissertation work on the Turnitin module of the e-learning platform of the West University of Timișoara. Enrollment in the bachelor's or dissertation exam is conditioned by the student's choice of the topic of the bachelor's or dissertation proposed by the coordinating teaching staff within 60 days from the beginning of the academic year at most. The undergraduate and dissertation topics proposed by the faculties, as well as the names of the thesis coordinators, will be published on the website of the faculty where the student is enrolled.
Bachelor's or dissertation papers must have a original content, each of which is checked by a similarity identification software program ("anti-plagiarism" software), in accordance with Appendix 2 a The regulation regarding the organization and conduct of the final exams for bachelor's and master's university studies - The methodology regarding the activity of coordinating the completion of studies and the activity of verifying the originality of the completion of undergraduate and master's university studies at the West University of Timișoara.
After a term of 12 months from the date of passing the final exams of the bachelor's or master's university studies, students can pick up their diplomas, but until they are released, graduates receive, upon request, graduation certificates.
