West Summer University

West Summer University (WSU) is a summer school-type project for students, organized annually by the Student Organization of the Western University of Timișoara (OSUT) in partnership with the Western University of Timișoara (UVT).

West Summer University (WSU) aims to acquaint students from the XNUMXth and XNUMXth grades with the university environment, in order to support their decision-making process regarding the continuation of their studies after graduating from high school.

 As part of the project, the students will participate in a program of courses, seminars and representative laboratories for the first year of studies of the cycle of undergraduate university studies, in the field for which they chose to enroll, supported by university teaching staff from UVT. They will also take part in several vocational counseling sessions provided by the UVT Career Counseling and Guidance Center, through which they will be supported to develop their capacity for self-knowledge. In addition, during the summer school, participants will also take part in non-formal education activities, debates, competitions, information sessions, socialization activities and will also discover the opportunities that the municipality of Timișoara offers to students. 

Thus, every summer, for more than two weeks, over 300 students from Romania and the Republic of Moldova will discover student life at UVT through West Summer University.

The 2024 edition of WSU will be held during July 18 - August 3, 2024, and registration can be done by completing TO THIS FORM until the May 12, 2024, 23:59 p.m.
