Education

In the year 2023, UNITA's objectives regarding Education focused on the directions assumed for the expansion and consolidation phase: international education focused on the needs of students, internationalization of the curriculum, lifelong learning, innovation in teaching and learning.

Thus, the event Internationalization of Curricula Through UNITA (ICTU), held in two stages (March and November 2023) at the University of Turin, offered the possibility of identifying alliance partners with which teaching staff from UVT can collaborate with a view to the internationalization of study programs (double/multiple degree, integrated degree), the initiation some activities for the internationalization of the curriculum through various actions: UNITA Collaborative International Learning (UCIL), Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs or teaching mobilities. The success of the event turned it into a recurring one in our alliance, and in June 2024 UVT itself will host the third edition, in which it is estimated that approximately 150 UNITA teaching staff will participate. Such matching events will take place constantly, to facilitate collaborations, exchange of good practices and new initiatives focused on new initiatives in Education. As far as lifelong learning is concerned, efforts have been focused on finalizing the concept of microcertification, particular to our alliance. The success of the UNITA initiative Teaching & Learning Centers Network generated a broader approach dedicated to innovation in teaching and learning through continuous professional training in the expansion and consolidation phase

It represents an essential and distinct dimension of the education policy of the UNITA alliance the interuniversity digital campus. If the first three years were dedicated to the development of this tool that will contribute not only to the management of educational initiatives, but also to the connection of students, teachers and researchers, in the second phase this campus will become the first tool of the alliance that will be managed through -a collaboration between the legal entity UNITA (where an IT Department will be created) and the partner universities (which will have a person dedicated to supporting the campus). This will allow UNITA to move to the next level in the digitalization of the alliance's actions: its integration through the use of jointly developed digital tools.
