Didactic UNIT

The main objective of the "Teaching and learning: flexible and student-centered" work package within the UNITA project- Montium University is to develop alternative approaches to teaching and learning, through student-focused and research-based innovation. This process will start with study programs at bachelor's and master's level, in the three main areas of the project: Cultural heritage, renewable energies and the circular economy. UNITA's perspective on teaching and learning processes will provide Alliance universities with the framework for higher education excellence and a vibrant learning environment, increasing their attractiveness in an intensely globalized academic world.

In addition, the creation of some Hubs of success for students, in order to support a personalized learning path, as well as the implementation of micro-credits, will further enhance UNITA's flexible approach to student academic development. Moreover, increasing the attractiveness of higher education institutions in UNITA has as a goal and an effect of play-over on the rural and mountain territories represented by the Alliance through the mobility of both students and teaching staff to and from these areas. Assuming it long term vision, our goal is to start actions that transform both the universities and the regions from which we come by:

  • transforming innovation into the teaching-learning process in an intrinsic element of UNITA universities and by contributing to promoting the European dimension in the educational act;
  • the impact on peripheral, border, rural and mountain areas as a result of the implementation of virtual teaching and learning spaces such as inter-connected campuses.
